Special care should be taken in preserving muscle mass and joint mobility. Boxer 26 promotes muscle development and helps protect the joints. The formulation has been developed with high quality proteins and significant concentrations of L-carnitine, chondroitin, glucosamine and essential fatty acids (Omega 6 and Omega 3). My Boxer wasn't too much of a finicky eater, but he loves this stuff. He scarfs it down like it's his last meal. It has also almost completely eliminated his *major* gas problem, which is common with Boxers. He doesn't have to eat as much and he's even put on a little weight/muscle mass. Over the past many years, I have tried many different brands... from expensive to cheap! Previously, the only dog food she'd tolerate was Pedigree. Unfortunately, it causes her to eliminate frequently. I stumbled across Royal Canin for Boxers while shopping at our farm supply store. I bought it, mixed it at first w/ Pedigree and weaned her off Pedigree. She is doing so much better since switching. Doesn't have the gas problem; stools are firm and a small amount; doesn't get hungry as often. It's a real blessing! I highly recommend it to all Boxer owners.
